2006 avalon engine light flashing

hey all. a couple months ago my engine light and vsc (which i’ve been told like to come on together) turned on and i went and got it checked and was told it was a fuel leak or something alleged idk- all that matters is that it was fixed and inspected and checked multiple times. however the lights came back on a week or so ago and would stay on for a couple days and then turn off for a couple days etc. i am absolutelty slammed with work and school currently and haven’t had time to call the mechanic + i don’t have another vehicle currently. today the engine light started flashing (vsc still steady on) and vibrating while driving. i was not far from home luckily. i’m going to try and take it in asap but the mechanic isn’t open for a couple days. just looking for any generalized advice or support if you’ve experienced this before. pardon my lack of tech jargon i’m not the ceo of car lingo.
