Looking for a story with rainbow parasites

I’ve been trying to find this story after I lost it, it’s about these two girls who own a farm and they discover some sort of rainbow parasite. They eventually infect each other and then invite a guy friend over and he gets infected as well, does anyone know what story that is? It would be of great help to find.
