I'm trying to figure out job titles in my world

I'm having the hardest time coming up with certain job titles for my world. It's a world where humans live amongst conventional fantasy/supe creatures and obviously there is tension between all the races. Shifters are historically more friendly towards humans and nowadays the two work together in various fields.

I don't mind using titles from things that are already established (because are there really any new ideas anyway?) but I don't intend to make those titles mean the same thing.

For example I have Hunters, and they describe humans or shifters that hunt down others for a living. And then I have Guides which are shifters that work exclusively with human hunters.

I need new titles for humans that have shifter partners but they're part of the country's military. The shifters aren't technically free citizens, but they're fine with the system.

I thought of something simple like officer or Handler, but I don't know what title to give to the shifter half. Any ideas?
