Someone red spawned at the second church of Marika. I killed them, but we died at the same time. Loot was not there upon respawn. What did I miss?

Like the title says. I don’t know who this red invader was. (I’m not playing online with people.)

I think maybe it was yura per google? I didn’t catch the name.

I killed them, and I saw their loot, but I immediately died from blood loss and when I respawned, the loot wasn’t there. I’m really pissed. What did I miss? Didn’t they fix this crap? This seems like a bug from ds1 days. :(
