Doubt

(M 22) Ever since I was 16, I wanted to live in Japan (my motivation was a mixture of cultural admiration and the vision of a better future for myself). I've also always been interested in the police force, especially in the field of investigation, and for some time I've been studying to pass a test that allows me to work as a state investigator. Until recently, a friend of mine asked me about my plans. He asked me: "If you succeed in joining the police force, earning a good salary and a stable life, would you leave everything here to move abroad?"

Incredibly, I hadn't thought about it, and now I'm not sure what to do. To be honest, I really want to do both but I'm not sure what's the best move and I don't know if I'd be able to choose one or another.

I'd love some advice on the subject.
