I find that I am often clung to this romantic fantasy where my ex is going to magically text/call me out of the blue and want me back. Try to serenade me at my house, because she made a special trip 1K miles to see me and she just couldn’t live without me anymore

Truth is, it’s just a moment of self pity that’s trying to fill a dark hole of what could’ve been. Emotions are weird man, but the reality is it’s not real and our brain wants it to happen. That person is not coming back and they probably don’t care or love you anymore. It’s the sad truth, but we need to work on ourselves and move forward with doing the next right thing. Each and every day.
