Preventative outdoor care with Alpine WSG

Hi. I am doing research on how to prevent ants from returning to my home. The Advion ant gel seemed to have tamed the situation, but now I want to prevent more ants from appearing in the future.

I was looking at the Wiki and saw that Alpine WSG was a good solution? Would it be logical to buy Alpine WSG to spray the perimeter of my home? If so, how often would I have to spray the perimeter of my home?

Any advice on ant prevention is welcome too!
