Sold Tesla Too Early… Now What? Portfolio & Shorting Plan Review
Hi everyone, I just started learning and investing through Moomoo about a month ago and wanted to get some feedback on my current portfolios (attached screenshots).
US portfolio: • Apple: 36.94% • SPDR Gold ETF: 32.16% • NVIDIA: 30.90%
Malaysia portfolio: • GOLD ETF: 70.84% • SUNREIT: 10.60% • AXREIT: 10.54% • PAVREIT: 8.02%
I also sold off my Tesla stock too early and now watching it climb near $290. My plan is to hold my current investments mid/long term but I’m considering shorting Tesla once it hits around $297-298, and plan to set a stop-loss buyback at $299.5 to prevent further loss if things don’t go as planned.
One thing I noticed is that I might be overexposed to gold in both US and Malaysia markets. For my next investment, I’m thinking of adding more to either REITs, Apple, or NVIDIA—but I’m open to advice on where I should focus next.
I’ve been eyeing QQQ, SPY, and Microsoft too, but feel like I missed the boat as they seem really high now. I might consider buying them if there’s a significant dip.
Any thoughts or suggestions on my portfolio strategy? Thanks in advance for any feedback!
