There are no emergency vets or animal hospital available until Monday morning. We live on island with not way to travel to seek another vet. Our dog fell ill this morning after vomiting and was unable to walk unaided. It progressed into labored breathing, and his gums were ghost white. We were able to get fluids into him. The labored breathing became accompanied with what I would describe as panicky, rhythmic barking and howling and unable to move his rear legs. He is wearing himself out enough to pass out asleep for about a few moments in-between episodes. Though the labored breathing and grunting is continuous. We have been giving him fluids with a turkey baster and on a few occasions has been able to hold his head up to drink water from a small bowl. His gums did regain normal color but is losing motor function in the front legs. He can only throw his head about. All motor function is gone in his rear legs though no loss of bladder or bowl control. We're desperate for any advice.

A month prior he had a lumpectomy performed. I mention this as we thought it might have been internal bleeding with the white gums and laboured breathing.
