New 45 Colt BP load for me

30 gr FFFg Goex measured by volume

with a cereal box wad on top of the powder

then a punched felt wad soaked in a bees wax/tallow lube

230 gr RN bullet (tumble lube Lee mold for 45 ACP, powder coated)

Starline brass

#300 CCI primer

crimp 1/2 turn with LFCD

OAL was flush with the end of the cyl

Anybody done this load? If so what velocity did you get? Estimates?

I'll be using:

3½" Uberti 1873 Cattleman with BHG

5½" Uberti 1873 Cattleman

8" Pietta Rem 1858 New Model Army with conversion cyl
