Demanding daughter but lazy

One of the typical questions, how do you deal with that your teenage daughter asking to buy makeups/her own room decorations almost every other week?

We have provided her $40 per month as pocket money for early budgeting mind set, and given chance to earn more by doing chores or extra academic work outside school.

But, the behavior is, she completely ignores any chores or extra enhancement. She will spend the monthly money at the immediate time after getting it every month. Everyday after school or after sports (around 7pm), she will hold the Pad for “shorts” of makeup channels or browse on Sephora like website.

When she gets rejected demand from us, she will become very upset, crying and scold us for not being as kind as her classmates parents. When that happens, I don’t know what to do. Should I educate her about Money/budgeting or ignore it completely, since it’s “teenage”?
