Downsides? Effects on other birds?

I live in a rural setting, there are crows here. I think it’d be fun to make friends with them but want to think about it carefully first. Does having crow friends cause more bird poop on nearby cars, etc? I have the impression birds don’t have conscious control of their elimination but I don’t know much about birds.

I’ve read here that crows may chase away hawks. I’m a little unhappy about that because we have hawks (and occasionally bald eagles) that eat snakes and mice, which we also have in abundance.

Are crows likely to scare away great horned owls? We’ve got those, too, and I don’t want to scare off all of the natural predators for mice.

Even more obscure, any ideas about crow compatibility with burrowing owls? We’ve got those little guys, too.

Obviously the different species can co-exist in the same general area (they’re doing that now) but I don’t know how territorial crows are likely to be about my house and the area immediately around it if I start feeding and interacting with them.
