Last of us season 2 ep4 reveal (spoiler)

Is anyone upset at the change in events that led to Ellie revealing she was immune to Dina? Although it makes sense in context I think Ellie taking off her mask in the game after it broke and showing Dina should could breathe spores without coughing jsit makes more sense??? Ofc the show has it add drama and I don’t think it was a bad change I just think the original made more sense in that context
