They keep "reaching out"?
The last thing I told her as I moved out was "don't contact me or my family." She of course contacted my mom after that with a "hope to stay close to you" type of message (my mom is a very loving person). A few months later she contacted me on a dating app saying how she's over the hurt (she's the one who hit and threatened me??) and she's so glad I got a cat now (she intentionally stepped on my last one before I re-homed him)
and now she sent my mom a letter in the mail inviting her to her PhD graduation.
I'd like to move on but she keeps making up reasons to "reach out" and it brings up the anger and loss and makes it hard to heal.
Do I tell her to stop? She won't listen. Do I just sit with the hurt and suck it up and hope that ignoring her will actually make her stop?
This sucks I want it to be over and I have no control over it.
TL;DR: Do they ever stop contacting you or your family??
