Breadcrumb? What the heck?

Longgggg back story, but I'll try to shorten it. My possible FA? guy that I've been seeing for over a year reconnected at the beginning of April after about 2 weeks no contact. This time around he invited me over to his place (which he always backed out of me coming over before), where I stayed over for 3 days (nothing intimate happened, only cuddling.) He was telling me a bunch of nice things and then told me he loved me. Things were looking up, I had more plans to stay over, until 3 days later he pulled back, telling me he had a pest problem at his place and his stomach hurt, so it would be best if I didn't come over for "a while". After that we had barely two text conversations for 2 weeks, one about a video game and another with him saying he missed me. Now, we are on day 16 of his pull back and he sent me a text today, saying, "Good morning, what's your schedule for today?" I answered an hour later that I was off.

This guy does not read the message until about 6 hours later and then never says anything. It's now 10 p.m. What the heck?
