Amazon's weird Circus Baby Plush?
Ok so this has been bothering me for awhile and I don't know where to get a clear answer for it but... has anyone else noticed that amazon's official listing for the Funko Circus Baby plush looks almost completely different from the original plush? I own both the original Baby and this new one and it really confuses me (the original being a toy I played with when I was 10 years old in 2017 so she isn't in amazing shape.) so my brother brought a new one... however she arrived looking like this
and I was super confused! did I get knocked off? is this a bootleg? But looking at the plush gives me a weird doubt it is especially since funko has made rereleases of their products with slight changes like Toy Foxy/Funtime foxy with eyelashes coming from the eyelid instead of the iris and Funtime Foxy/SL Foxy with a bit of a cheaper production with a bit more wonky bits... so here is a list of things about the plush
-
The fabrics used are waaay to nice to be a knock off
-
Typically FNaF: Sister Location plush bootlegs don't use the Sister Location tag but the wave 1 - 2 one instead.
-
Amazon usually stops all production of bootleg plushies if they make it under the name of the licensed brand ones especially if a lot of people complain (which looking at reviews there has been many) and she's been this way for around 3 - 4 years now
-
Quality wise she actually matches the OG Baby plush too (the embroidered eyes, bells and printed on stomach fan)
-
all the materials shades and colours match the OG baby, It's just constructed together differently.
so if this is a LEGIT Plush and was just a special rerelease of her... why didn't Funko bother to change the marketing photo to match the updated product more. if anyone has a crystal clear answer that'd be nice!
(Also I have reached out to Funko and they failed to give me a clear answer themselves)
