Pursuing a career in Aviation at 29 with gi bill possible?

im 24 and i’ll be about 29 when my Coast Guard enlistment ends(aircraft maintenance).

I would love to pursue a career in aviation but people keep discouraging me because of my age by saying that im too late and won’t be able to provide for my family etc.

I know it’s not easy but im just looking for some guidance on how I can pursue this once I get out.
