2021 Toyota Tundra vs 2021 Ford F150
I currently have a 2021 Tacoma, that I feel like I am outgrowing (mostly related to interior space, with car seats, and general crampness).
Given that I think I want to step up to a larger truck.
I have 0 interest in a turbo engine truck, I would only be comparing/considering V8, crewcab, 4x4, trucks. Other that those requirements, I dont really have any deal-breakers.
I can almost do a straight trade (maybe $1-3k cash on top) for my tacoma into an F150. If I wanted to go the tundra it would likely be $10k extra (toyota tax, maybe makes up for it in reliability and less depreciation).
I think I know the ford will be less reliable, more comfortable, more powerful, and cost less up front.
The tundra is older tech, less reliable, has a floor hump for the transmissions (vs ford flat floor), and has less rear underseat storage (that is accessible with a carseat strapped in, for has open space under, tundra the seats need lifted).
I would consider an older tundra, but want carplay (could do aftermarket head unit though if I wanted to go older), but probably would not consider an older than 2021 F150, since they had oil consumptions issues with the V8s for a few years prior.
Anything I am missing? Any other suggestions?
