Is it possible to sometimes feel some attraction and sometimes not, towards your partner?

Relationships ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’˜

I (28F) am currently dating a guy for almost 6 months, he is the same age as me and we are currently long distance. Not my first relationship but it's the first relationship I had that lasted longer (past relationships never went past 2 months or less).

I have always thought of myself as an demisexual (although now I am not so sure anymore, or if I may be ace). At the beginning of our relationship I did have the excitement (not anxiety, thank goodness) of meeting him, talking to him felt so exciting and always pleasant because we always had so much to talk about. I told him about my aversion towards "more intense" physical contact (I haven't kissed anyone before but just the thought of kissing anyone gives me the ick, I hate the idea of kissing someone. I am not sex repulsed and maaaaybe could do it if under the rights circumstances, but definitely not on my current plans or anything lols). I don't mind hand holding, kissing on cheeks, leaning on each other on the couch, etc.

The thing is, there are days where I feel like he is attractive (physically and emotionally) but other days where I just... Don't really care about him? Not in the sense that I would just ignore him or suddenly start disliking him, but more like feeling indifferent about his existence? I know it sounds mean I swear I don't try to express it and knows I probably shouldn't feel like this, but sometimes I feel like if we weren't dating at all I wouldn't mind it? But it's not like I want to actively try to break up or anything, kinda just like I wouldn't mind if the relationship didn't exist. But after a while (could be hours or could be days later) I would suddenly feel again the love and the want to be around him, to talk with him about anything and everything. Sometimes I feel excited to see him and be around him (virtually or physically, since we are long distance) but other times I just don't really feel like it, and kinda just want to be by myself. I have said these things to him and also told him about me being demi and disliking the idea of kissing or something more intimate, and he has been very understanding and kind.

I also recently have been learning about attachment styles and I feel like I am probably a Fearful Avoidant, and have been trying to work it out with my therapist.

All in all, I am just kinda scared of these feelings of "indifference", I don't have much experience with dating, and sometimes I find myself afraid that this means I don't actually love him enough, at least not in the same way he does to me, and it may be unfair to him that I do not feel the same excitement as a "normal" person normally does when they are supposed to meet/talk to their partner. Has anyone else experienced something similar and could help me with some insights? I would appreciate it.
