Things that I didn't know before applying
I was having a convo with my friend when she brought up many instances where I was purely clueless about how university admissions worked so here's a list of stupid things I thought were true about applying ππ
-
Thought there were no application fees (thought I could apply to like 100 schools)
-
Thought early admission meant that people would get accepted in grade 11 and go to uni in grade 12
-
Thought that i could apply to an unlimited amount of programs for one uni
-
Thought that full tuition over the course of 4 years was 12k (only calculated tuitions fees and not food, residence or even textbook fees π)
-
Thought that unis would send their university logo hoodies to students thay accepted their offers (still hurts to know they dont)
-
Thought that unis can give full rides (don't think they do, high-key sad)
-
Thought that courses schedules were pre made/already made so that we don't need to manually choose for ourselves (true for some uni programs, not for the one I accepted tho π)
-
Thought that meal plans were free
That's all I can think of for now, but here are the ones that I genuinely thought for true. In conclusion, dont be like me π₯
