Adderall with ADHD vs No ADHD

Diagnosis

I am 31, female. My psych isn't really sure if I have ADHD or not. I have chronic depression and social phobia/agoraphobia, along with a lifelong struggle with severe maladaptive daydreaming. I did okay in school, but I knew I could have done better in so many ways. Always losing things, always disorganized.

I took 20mg of IR Adderall and it kind of blew me away. It felt a bit stronger than a caffeine pill, but without the shaking. I didn't feel high or euphoric. But I suddenly felt... like everything was strangely easier. My mind raced like crazy, but I felt so much more motivated to do things.

A little more background: I lost my last job in 2018 and I haven't been able to work since I've had such severe depression and issues with leaving the house. For the better part of a decade, I've been in bed. All day, all night. It takes an enormous amount of pressure to get me to do anything.

But now... on my third day of taking this... I feel my mind isn't racing. I feel so ready to do things again, which I haven't felt in so many years. I actually did a load of laundry.

I feel a strange hope that I haven't had since I was a kid.

I am wondering, though. If someone takes something like this without ADHD, how do they respond? I am still not sure if I have it or if I'm just lazy or chronically depressed.
