Headlight relay bypass help
Cars a 2002 Hyundai Elantra, Korea made.
I'm trying to bypass the low beam headlamp replay such that the low beam headlamps are on whenever the ignition is on the ignition is on. Why am I doing this? DRL not working, so bypassing the headlamp switch is my new DRL.
I tried sticking a 10 gauge (considering amperage) wire in between the 87 and 86 terminals of the 4 terminal relay to connect those two terminals and it sorta worked in that the headlamps are now always on as I wanted but they're not at full brightness. If I twist the headlamp switch and turn on the dash and low beams then the headlamps go to full brightness, otherwise they're at semi-brightness.
While this is not an issue DRL wise, I need to bypass the relay in a way that the low beam headlights are always fully ON to their 100%. (Long story behind why I need that).
Am I bypassing the relay in partially? How do I fully bypass it?
Thanks!!
