Uni Tenancy and Paying

I have a house tenancy and the contract starts in july, my second year of uni starts way in september. However i need to pay rent for my house. The first month of rent is due in august. Will i be fine with 1 month in the house to find a job and start working so that i can pay off the second month of rent? i dont get student finance to help until late september and i cant work before my tenancy starts since i have no where to live until then. Just a bit puzzled ive only ever worked unofficial friends of friends manual labor / friends parents company jobs where no interviews or anything happen. Im in brighton and i hear too often about how annoying getting a job is now. I dont really have anyone to cover my expenses until then so what do i do?
