Rear shock setting for heavier rider?

Ive owned my trident for about a month now and was thumbing through the owners manual and saw that the rear shock can be adjusted depending on if you are carrying a load or another passanger. If im on the heavier end should it be at a different position than 1 or should i set it to a sifferent spot?
