upcoming flight on tuesday - please help!

hi everyone, i have a flight on tuesday morning to miami, florida from EWR (flight is at 6am with ETA of 9:10am) for a doctors appointment i have. i’m supposed to leave miami same day, 1:57pm departure flight arriving back at EWR should i be worried about the delays? i’ve never had an issue getting to and from on same day, i’ve done this many, many times for the last 2+ years. however with the recent news on flight delays and cancellations, i’m very worried i’ll either miss my appointment or not make it back home on time. i booked basic economy so i’m also worried they’ll be super unhelpful if i try to move the flight. also, if i do move it… when would be the best time to even fly out / to EWR? TYIA! :)
