Retainer Full Time for Only Two Weeks?

Just got mine off on Friday! Really happy. My ortho instructed me to wear retainers 24-7 (minus eating and drinking non water) for just two weeks, then “nighttime for lifetime.” I’m psyched the full time seems short, but also nervous because I see other people have to do the 24/7 for months before just going to night. Anyone else have this two week plan? Any orthos here who could weigh in?! Thanks!
