Are Sunny's shadow avatars this limited or am i trippin? (saint transformation)

I'm still not out of 3NM, so the only info about his saint trans I have is from wiki and reddit, but based on what I read it got me worried, since it seems, that they don't have his dormant ability and limited awakened and ascended ability. The avatars are supposed to be the same as him strengh-wise and ability-wise, but since they are created from his dormant ab, they don't have their own shadows to control unless some of Sunny's other helpers are assign to them. Their shadow step is also limit by this fact, since they can't step through their own shadow and therefore being able to step only through wild shadows. Shadow manifestation is fine by itself, but even if Sunny didn't lose his access to the lamp, the lamp could be used only by one avatar at a time and so his shadow shell and other tricks would be limited for others by a lot. If we add the fact, that they also share essence pool and each avatar costs Sunny 1 augmentation, it feel like a lackluster ability more adept at trolling and time managment than combat. I'm aware that he doesn't have to use all avatars at the same time, but if my assumption is correct it still is kind of...disappointing. Though I'm not sure about this, that's why I'm asking you guys.
