Wrong to only want to confess to my priest from my parish and not another?

Title, but basically, I can not see myself confessing to another priest. The priest from my parish is an awesome leader and he also knows my parents well. However, I also have not gone to confession in years, and I really want to reestablish my strained connection with God whom I have turned my back on for some time, which brings me shame to admit. Is it normal to think this way? Or is the priest that I confess not matter as long as it is made to God through them?
