Why cant i feel the connection b/w me and Allah

so i will be straight forward that im not a good muslim i try to pray but most of the time i don't pray and i feel guilty and i want to pray to god but i cant its like im forcing myselff. And i feel very guilty and sad but then i also just let it happen idk what to do
