My First Upload Experience
So, I just started posting on my channel about a week ago, and honestly, I’m really surprised by the amount of support it’s gotten.
My niche is storytime animation, and my first long-form video—an introduction to the channel (around 2 minutes and 30 seconds long)—got about 18K impressions in just five days, despite having only a 5.4% CTR (around 1.5K views at the moment).
I’m pretty happy with the response, especially since I’m just starting out, and even though I made some mistakes in that video (like low audio, etc.), people were still willing to watch it all the way through.
I’ve already gained around 300 subscribers in less than a week! It feels unreal.
Honestly, when I first posted, I couldn't help but be anxious of it's performance (Bad habit, and it was my first upload), for awhile I thought I was shadowbanned due to accidentally uploading the same video twice—I got zero impressions or views for the entire first day. But right after someone commented and I replied, impressions suddenly flooded in.
I’m not entirely sure why that happened, but it seems like engaging with commenters might actually help boost engement. Also, I think it’s just a kind gesture to acknowledge the comments (Am I glazing the commenters too much? I don’t know, but I just feel happy replying back).
Also, if storytime animations are your niche, the channel link should be in my bio? (rensieren).
Hope y'all reading have great rest of the day, and may you find success in your youtube endeavours!
