Nationalism in Russia, and how I’ve perceived it by gender.
Perhaps this is just an experience unique to me, but from my interactions with native Russians in real life as well as online I’ve noticed some things. Russian young women seem to be more nationalistic and political than any women I’ve ever met, in fact I’ve seen more nationalist comments made by Russian young women than men ( like 80% of them I’ve seen have been made by women), but when they become elderly or retired it almost seems like this flips and the men become the nationalists in old age and the women become non political or neutral. Would you say this is generally accurate or did this just so happen to be my experience? If this is accurate what reason would you say this is for?
