Carrier for hikes for toddler

What’s a good carrier my husband can use for hikes? My son is 1 year old and weighs approx 25 lbs. I’m hoping to use the carrier for as long as we can. We have a dog so go on a lot of hikes and would love to be as comfortable as possible while carrying the baby. Any recommendations?
