How do I ask for a guys number?

I haven’t dated anyone for a while and the last time I did date someone it was through a dating app. There’s this guy at my job, he’s pretty cute but I’m nervous to ask him for his number. My other coworkers say go for it cuz the worst he could say is no. But I don’t know how I should say it without sounding weird and like desperate. I’m planning on talking to him tomorrow or Wednesday if he’s not there.
