Struggling to go back to the mosque

I have two major mosques in my city... one I can't get to because of the distance, the other I know people in who do not like me whatsoever... What do I do to overcome the fear of the mosque, how do I get back into praying in the mosque without upsetting people with my presence? I tried to make peace with the sister previously but she still is very upset with me (reasonably so). What's the best case of what I can do to avoid drama?
