Moving to Portugal?

Considering moving to Portugal as a single mom, specifically Porto. I really want to get out of the US for a safer, slower paced, healthier life as well as learning and experiencing new culture. Would be working remotely so that’s not a huge concern. Any tips? Concerns? Advice?
