Should I avoid buying a T8?

I'm shopping for either a V60 or V90 right now. Something 2019 or newer. I'd really like a T6 (the more power the merrier right? haha). However I keep coming across some T8 models and to be honest I don't know a lot about them. So a few questions.

1. Does the T8 HAVE to be plugged in? I live in an apartment with no way to actually plug one in, ever.

2. If it doesn't HAVE to be plugged in, what are the downsides to never plugging it in? And the upside would be more power yeah?

3. Lastly, how is the maintenance cost or are there many known issues with the T8 specifically?
