Unit circle and the sine curve
Hi everyone! π
I'm a math teacher experimenting with visual tools to make abstract concepts clearer for students. I recently built a SpaceDraft that helps students see how the sine curve is built from the unit circle β and I've had great feedback from my Year 10β11 and IB learners so far.
π What it does:
- Animates a point moving around the unit circle
- Shows how the y-coordinate (sin ΞΈ) is traced onto a graph
- Links angles in degrees and radians
- Builds the sine wave live, step-by-step
π It's a dynamic, scene-based visualization β perfect for visual learners, flipped classrooms, or as a revision tool before trigonometry tests.
π¬ I'd love any feedback or ideas to improve it, and happy to share how I structured the scenes and pins if anyone's curious!
