Need clarity on JEE Advanced 2026 eligibility — top 20 percentile confusion

Dropper :doomer:

I gave my Maharashtra HSC board exam in 2025 and scored 369/500. I'm taking a drop year to attempt JEE in 2026.

Since I didn’t get 75%+, I’ll be relying on the top 20 percentile eligibility rule for JEE Advanced. Now, here's where I’m confused:

Let’s say (just hypothetically) the top 20 percentile for Maharashtra HSC in 2025 turns out to be around 365 — in that case, I'd be eligible.

But what if in 2026, the top 20 percentile rises to something like 378?

Since I passed in 2025 and I'm not doing any improvement exam, will my eligibility be based on the 2025 percentile cut-off or the 2026 one?

I’ve seen mixed info, and I just want a concrete answer from someone who’s either gone through the same or knows the rule properly — or ideally has an official source to back it.

Thanks in advance.
