Great game with lots of potential but no active fandom
I started playing the game 2 weeks ago when I was in a funk with no mood for any movies, animes, mangas or other games. I wasn't too invested in it at first but I slowly got hooked around chapter 6-7 onwards and basically binged Finn, Shuu and Hikaru's route.
The last time I played an otome game was years back when Mystic Messenger came out and I was crazy over it. Now I've graduated and started adulting, matured some, and didnt expect to get pulled into another otome game that I only intended to play casually.
The VAs are wonderful, the art is beautiful and there is sooo much potential for the game. I still have another 3 routes to complete, but the game was slowly consuming me and I wanted to come here to find other fans to fangirl with. Sadly there's barely any buzz on this game or fanarts.
One major drawback IMO is the length of the individual routes. The common route is 8 whole chapters while the individual routes are only 3 chapters? Stories seem rushed and could be expanded so much more. I really hope more content will be coming out, though it doesnt seem very likely.
Looking through the other threads, I find it so interesting that many of you guys here seemed to find Hikaru's behavior weird/creepy. He's my favourite and I have such a soft spot for him. That said, Shuu is a close contender for my top spot and is also really my type. I found Shuu's route extremely underwhelming and uneventful compared to Hikaru's or Finn's routes (please don't let my opinion discourage anyone from Shuu though lol). I also felt that Shuu's presence was severely lacking in the first 8 chapters which doesn't seem in line with his character (no spoilers lol though there isn't much to spoil for his story) and the fact that he's the leader of the group, The other Shuu cards/backgrounds in game also don't seem very consistent with his image (IMO) which I felt is another area of improvement, but that's a minor one.
Back to the Hikaru topic above, just curious where everyone's from as I was wondering if it could due to the differences in our cultures and environment that we find certain things problematic, weird or less acceptable. I also noticed that quite a number of people here are Noah and Rian fans, which is the opposite of my taste haha (could just be my personal preference for more tall and mature guys). I still love all the characters though and the VAs have really done a wonderful job.
No hating, no judging, just pure curiosity! Would love to hear more from other players and this game seriously needs more love.
