Did anyone get Pilot training/licenses while in the military?

Im 23 and enlisted 6 years in the Coast Guard as avionics.I would love to try flying and getting some licenses.

My question is did anyone get the military to pay for some of it with tuition assistance,Credentialing assistance etc?

If so how was the process?
