Is the Upcoming recession in 2025 going to be worse than the recession that happened in 2023?
I am working in an MNC for 3+ years(2021 YOP). After officially joining the company by the end of 2021, I was in bench for around 1 year. And during the February of 2023, I got a HR call but I barely escaped because I got a project at the last moment. But a lot of my friends who were in bench during that time were asked to put paper. Although my company's job security was not as good as TCS, they won't fire employees that easily. But the recession in 2023 made them fire a lot of resources who were on bench. Especially experienced people in bench were massively laid off.
Now I am looking for a job change and I am repeatedly hearing that there's gonna be a recession in late 2025 or early 2026. So I want to be mentally prepared for everything to secure my job if I get one. Right now I am working in a support project and I am looking for web developer roles after learning web development for 5 months. So in this situation, what I need to do to survive in IT? Please let me know. Thank you very much.
