Found out my cockatiel is a male
Hey guys, for context I have a female tiel who is about 4 years old, she had a male parakeet as a friend for a out a year before he passed away, around the middle of April I went to a exotic pet con and found a great breeder to get my girl a friend, I live in an apartment by myself so I was wanting to get another female since they tend to be a bit more calm, found a cute baby who came right up to me (hatch day is 3/3), breeder told me she results of the blood test hadn't come in yet but she felt confident it was a girl, fast forward to now and I've been having problems with the baby screaming whenever I leave to do anything (going to work, leaving to take a shower, etc.) Both tiels are still obviously bonding but today I got the results and I find out the baby is a boy, which I've heard can be difficult for people who live in an apartment, im worried I'll get a noise complaint. I have been using avicalm in their veggie mix, not sure how much it helps. I guess what im asking is if you guys have any advice to help with the screaming, I know the baby mostly just wants attention but obviously I can't be around them 24/7 and I really would rather not re home him, I do love him very much and he's a sweetheart when he's not upset with me.
