does the '— University' label really matter

what does really matter after graduation?

help me!

im planning to enroll in St. Jude College Dasma kasi i really wanna pursue nursing. they actually have a scholarship, but im not qualified for it. okay naman kami financially for the 1st year tuition, but from 2nd to 4th year medyo alanganin na since it goes up to around 100k per year and i know nursing is really expensive

someone told me na usually, grads from schools with “— University” in the name have a higher chance of getting hired by big companies, like National University

kaya ko naman mag NU Dasma, but the thing is, im not passionate about the courses there. i can go for a business course if ever, pero it’s not really my thing. im not even sure if the tuition goes up every year, pero if it stays around 60k–70k, keri naman

so now im wondering — does it really matter ba if may “— University” yung school name when it comes to job applications?
