which is better to buy for college stuff.

Hey everyone I have a budget of around 180$ and my college is starting soon so I’m looking to buy a tablet or an iPad for taking notes and handling all my college tasks I’m already an iPhone user and was thinking about getting an iPad but I’m open to suggestions I’d love to know which one would be better for a psychology student like me and which one is more supportive and long-lasting any recommendations for an iPad in this price range or a Samsung tablet would be appreciated thanks
