Would you trust a supervillain who has a genuinely good secondary goal???

I am talking like a "Hitler opposed smoking" kind of way. In real life, Nazi Germany famously ran an anti-smoking campaign despite obviously being morally prehensible . Imagine a supervillain who wants to rule the world, but they have some minor side goal that actually is genuinely good(like they want to end horseracing for cruelty to animals or something). Would you join them??
