New Legion Tower 7i - Storage Bay Question

I bot a Legion Tower 7i for a relative and was setting it up for her and frankly stymied by a some of the plumbing. Simple stuff, but frustrating.

1. needed to mount a 500gb SSd in one of the 2.5" mounted bays. in no way shape or form will that enclosure accept the bay. Either the drive is slightly too wide (doubtful) or the enclosure too narrow. Or the drive dimension standards have changed (the drive is prob 5 years old). Anyone else notice this and maybe have a solution? I wouldn't care if the bay didn't necessarily fit and I could simply still use it to strap the drive in, but longer screws weren't included with the unit (and as I point out in #2, the included cabling wouldn't work either)

2. ok, I'm no newbie...not such a big deal, I'll velcro it rather than strap it down in the bay. can't do that either because all the cabling is right angled so whether in the bay or velcroed anywhere on the back panel, the cover won't fit on the unit. Minor but AAF.
