Teacher prep program vs masters in education

Hi everyone! I am looking to continue my education so that I can become a teacher. However, I am weighing the cost/benefit of completing a teacher prep program vs going for a full masters in education (I already have my bachelors). I would really love to hear anyone’s personal experience with either, and whether they have any regret, or feel like they made the right choice. I would be teaching in a competitive part of the U.S. where there really aren’t major teacher shortages.
