Critical thinking is important because you’ll have relatives pressuring you to have kids when they themselves struggled in life because they chose to have kids.

Honestly if I was naive and a people pleaser I’d easily have kids because the pressure from my in laws can get real. But since I’m skeptical and want to think thoroughly, I look at these women’s lives.. the lives they had to live because they had kids. The dreams they had to give up. The jobs they settled for and the 2-3 jobs they had to take to support their kids. The fact that their kids lived in a house shared by other relatives, barely having privacy. The lack of opportunities because they weren’t wealthy enough.

Now do I have a choice to opt out? Yes I sure do.
