Deed poll wording

I created an unenrolled deed poll in 2018 with the GOV wording at the time. It was quite basic, just said basically new name and that it's been signed as a deed.

I've recently enrolled on a course and they're saying my deed poll is not legal and it needs specific wording. I was very confused and didn't remember at the time what I used, so checked the gov website. Now I notice they've updated it with a whole new paragraph about letting authorities check history, as well as one about police checks.

I have checked on the website archive, and as far as I can see, the wording was updated in 2024. I have let the course know this, as I checked for 2018 and the wording I used was correct at the time.

My question is, do I need to now update my deed poll? If so, how would I even go about doing this?
