Has anyone ever heard of testosterone contributing to an HSV-1 out break?

So I recently started TRT, just simple testosterone-c shots.. 35ml twice a week. Coincidentally within 7 days of of the first shot I got a bad our real on my lip that spread to my eyes. 2 months, and the outbreak didn't subside so i m on valtrex rn which has taken care of the outbreak.

A friend I know who has been a pharmacist for over 15 years sent me a study of a guy who was dosing l-Arginine and other anabolic steroids (not just test but deca and aomeother stuff) and the study concluded that anabolics contributed to his outbreak.

I talked to the wellness Dr who prescribed the test and he said he's never heard of it possibly being connected, but I stopped the test for 2 weeks to see if it was contributing. I want to start back with the trt because of obvious reasons but if it's going to cause another flare up and make me be on suppressive valtrex long term im not gonna keep it up.

Anyone ever heard of this or experienced it?
